Hi. Welcome to the “bIO” page.  it's a chance to choose your own adventure. you can either read the eloquently penned and deeply fascinating text below…or you can watch the CBS TV interview below…or read this albuquerque journal interview.  Or do them all.  it's your adventure.

Secret Eagles…more than just thought leaders-slash-global influencers on the cutting edge of making booty’s drop, IT'S a New Mexico based musical experience smashing styles and sounds together like your favorite old mix tape.

The project was created by SANTA FE BORN Michael Moxey deep in his undersea beat lab. Mixing modern indie rock (Wet Leg, Royel Otis) with older indie favorites (The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem), adding a pinch of 90’s alt-rock RaDIO FAVORITES (Beck, Nirvana), then finishing with a dab of 80’ s new Wave (Cars, DEVO), Secret Eagles are not above using the well-worn “recipe” metaphor to describe their voluptuous escapades.

Don't all bands make their debut public performance live on network tv? secret eagles did, playing “fever” on the “New mexico living” show in april 2024. In may 2024, they won a new mexico music award  for best comedy/novelty song ("Sexy indifference"), as well as being nominated for best rock album and best indie rock song ("ARROYO summer").
